Last Saturday I went to the Projekt Revolution concert at Darien Lake. I have never been to a “festival” type concert before, so the fact that there were 11 bands that lasted all day was the coolest thing for me.
Eric, Katy and I got up bright and early to drive to Darien Lake. We got there around one o’clock. I was upset because we had already missed Medina Lake, but I wasn’t going to let that ruin my day.
I have been a fan of Linkin Park since I was a little kid. Since Projekt Revolution is run by the band members of Linkin Park, I went. I have never seen Linkin Park live, but I have listened to their CDs for many years now. Watching them perform, watching the others in the crowd go crazy just like you, was amazing. I sung every song, met some people who in my eyes were a little ‘crazy’.
My Chemical Romance was there, which I think is a good band. My thing with them is that they cater more to the young teens, and I am just not a fan of what they say when they aren’t singing.
I was shown the band Mindless Self Indulgence a couple of years ago by a friend at school. They are an off-the-hook punk pop electric group. They are vulgar, funny and a bit weird. I do have to say that I fit in with their crowd just the same as my own.
